Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

My Students

I currently work at SHS, where we to build a safe and positive learning environment that recognizes and awards student success. We work with students who may be behind on credits or would like to graduate early

We provide flexible scheduling, opportunities for credit recovery, and a balanced program of study that includes core and elective classes, on a Monday through Thursday schedule.

Fridays are for credit recovery classes, tutoring, field trips, college tours, or clubs. Students can earn on-the-job experience through our work-credit, volunteer assistance, and community service programs. Students can accelerate graduation by taking extra classes to earn up to 10 credits each year. SHS can offer students experiences that will help them grow and achieve success.

The school serves a low-income community. The students within the community have the desire and power to learn despite their socio-economic backgrounds. Having these supplies would allow these students to flourish and reach their untapped potential.

My Project

These materials will make a big difference inside of the classroom. The students will be able to focus more inside of the classroom because they will no longer have to worry about falling behind due.

Also, the products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional resources to help them receive the best possible education.

For example, there are a lot of kids in my class who are unable to afford supplies or cannot access them. However, by providing the students with these supplies, the students will be able to come to class fully prepared and ready to complete their day. This will take one less worry off their backs.
