Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

If you took a poll of all student-athletes participating in after-school athletics, you would find that many go 5+ hours without eating throughout the school day. This is very concerning, because our student-athletes need food to perform at their best ability in and out of the classroom. Our middle school soccer coaching staff wants to combat this stark reality by providing our middle school girls and boys soccer players with pre and post practice and game snacks in an effort to cater to their health and well-being as they compete to the best of their ability on the soccer field.

When our student-athletes are not properly fed they are unable to perform to their highest potential in the classroom and on the field, so we must provide snacks to ensure the success of each player and our team as a whole.
