My students need language activity cards, magnetic letters and word builders, two home-to school comprehension kits and other center activities to help my students meet the new Common Core standards.
We are in an era where crowded classrooms are the norm. Teachers are required to teach more students with less time for small group instruction. Students are required to learn more skills by the end of the year and teachers are struggling to meet their needs. Differentiated instruction is the key.
I currently teach in a low income Title I school in an urban area.
Over half of my class receives free lunch. Students in my classroom are in need of differentiated instruction daily and often do not get what they need. Ready made centers are the key to helping my students meet the new Common Core standards. My students need language activity cards, magnetic letters and word builders, two home-to school comprehension kits and other more center activities to help my students meet the new Common Core standards.
My Project
I am requesting various center activities to use during our workshop time. Students will be able to practice their skills in small groups daily. With less time for set up, I will have more time to meet with students who need extra practice to master grade level skills. Students will learn how to read context clues, access various vocabulary, read grade level text, have access to take home materials to practice the skills at home, and many more great opportunities to master grade level skills.
By funding this project, you will be giving my students the opportunity to master grade level skills.
With crowded classrooms increasing, you can make a difference by donating to students who are in need of differentiated instruction.
