7th and 8th students entering the STEAM/Robotics Lab come in ready to think, create and build. Students are learning to code and program VEX IQ robots and Lego Mindstorm EV3 robots. I'd like to move my students forward with programming and bring Arduino to our curriculum in the Tech Lab.
My students are energetic, outgoing innovators with positive, hardworking attitudes.
They are eager to learn more about coding and programming. Coding has sparked their curiosity and I want them to program with as many hands on experiences as possible. Arduino will help me achieve this goal.
My Project
This will be a new experience for my 7th and 8th grade STEAM students. My students are currently coding and programming with VEX IQ and Lego Mindstorm robots. The students will use the Arduino Kits, computers, iPads and the design process to create their projects. This project will introduce them to working with the circuit boards and coding software.
Arduino projects will be a fantastic new addition to our STEAM program!
Arduino will introduce the students to circuit electronics and the basic components needed to create projects and program them to function. There are many resources to guide students through projects, but I am looking forward to giving them time to free build and make their own creations.
