Archery... More Than Just Good Aim.

My students need some additional archery equipment. We currently do not have arm guards. At this point we only have 72 arrows. Arrows can be the hardest equipment to keep updated in an archery program.

My Students

My students vary in age, however they are all equally excited about the chance to learn more about the sport of archery. We are a rural school. Many of our students have never traveled out of our county. It is my goal to provide an after school activity that will provide health and fitness as well as understanding how to be a team member.

My students love to learn and are very eager to experience the sport of archery.

My students understand that archery is a non-traditional sport that can be played for a lifetime.

My Project

Our archery program is in the beginning phase. We have attained targets and several bows. The bows we currently have are for third, fourth, and fifth grades. It is a goal to be able to include the younger population of students as well as those students who are beginners and need bows that do not require a high amount of upper body strength.

We do not have arm protectors which are greatly needed in the practicing of archery.

I have also requested more arrows. Arrows at this skill level can be damaged or lost due to inexperience in the participant.
