This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is a Montessori school in the inner city. My kids range from the age of 4 to age 6. One of the many great things about Montessori is that my students stay with me for two consecutive years.
My kids are independent hard workers.
They are taught at a very early age how to manage their own work and get things done independently. I love that I get the chance to work with each student individually every day while others are working by themselves or helping other children.
My Project
It is time that my students have the opportunity to have live animals in the classroom. Dwarf frogs and Beta fish will be a great attraction to our cultural area of our classroom. We study amphibians and other animals each year and adding the live animals will just make the area come to life!
These live animals will bring so much enjoyment to our room!
My students will be able to not only observe them daily, but the animals will give us a chance to learn more specifically about and care for these two beautiful animals on a daily basis.
