Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is full of compassionate and hard working students who make me smile on a daily basis.

They have a passion for learning about the world around them and making it a better place.

They truly care about one another and often work together in teams to help each other succeed.

Many of them stay after school every day just to help me clean the classroom, so I don't have to do it by myself. They are the best!

My Project

Since August, my students have been learning about the natural world around them through our study of ecosystems and biodiversity.

They have recently begun to explore our world's natural resources, human impact on these resources and their role as global citizens to protect them.

With the Hydroponics and Aquaponics systems in our classroom, my students will have a hands one experience to discover alternative methods of gardening. They will conduct hands on experiments and real life data collection comparing these methods to traditional forms of gardening as it relates to water usage. They will present their data and research at our School-wide STEAM Night.
