This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students dwell in the city with the highest concentration of poverty in California. In fact, 33.2% of our population live in neighborhoods of extreme poverty. Our students historically have been disadvantaged, yet they retain a strong desire to learn and grow.

They deserve the same rich experiences as students in neighboring counties, yet we simply do not have the funding to provide these experiences.

My Project

How can we use technology to apply learning in tangible ways? With a 3D printer, students will apply their mathematical knowledge to designing scale models of architectural wonders around the world. Not only will they study and reconstruct existing wonders, but students will apply their learning or structure design to create their own miniature objects.

It is through the physical application of theoretical knowledge that students will reach new heights in their understanding of mathematics.

Students will map out and then construct their designs through TinkerCad to see their designs come to life. Please help students make their imagination become reality!
