My Students

One of the best things about teaching at a small school is building relationships with students and their families. Friend, Nebraksa is a K-12 school with 200 students. Each class has between 15-25 students meaning that our students actually learn and grow with each other every year!

Small town schools are for the students and their families to grow the community.

Small town schools like Friend Public School are the heart of the community as the whole town attends family friend's and neighbor's basketball games, One Act competitions, and golf meets to support the town.

My Project

Many times in school students may ask the questions, Why are we learning this? or & When am I ever going to use this? In our middle school exploratory, students learn how to write an email, different styles of notes, verbal and nonverbal communication, group work, leadership, stressors in life, social emotional connections, and how to organize our ideas, lists, and events.

After learning many skills, it's time to apply real-LIFE skills!

Students will be able to apply their skills about organization and communication techniques when collaborating in competition about what LIFE can really throw at you.
