I teach in an Early Childhood Special Education class that serves children 3-5 years old. My students come from diverse backgrounds and have a diverse range of abilities. One thing my children have in common is their desire to learn. My students may have delays, but there is nothing stopping them from reaching any goals that may be set for them. They are leaps and bounds ahead of where they started in September and I truly believe the sky is the limit when you have a desire to grow!!
These 2 iPads will allow my students time to engage in educational apps and make learning fun. The iPads will contain numerous learning apps such as ABCMouse to allow the students to continue their learning while they think they are playing.
iPads are also a phenomenal way to make learning mobile and more accessible to students with mobility issues.
My classroom has a Smartboard and allows for interactive lessons, but it is difficult for some students to get to the board. The same lessons can be put on the iPad to allow my students with mobility challenges the same opportunities as the rest of the class. The cases are necessary to protect the iPads from every day wear and tear while my preschoolers are learning responsibility.
