My students need iPads in the classroom to practice math and reading standards. Not all students learn in the same way, so this will help me meet the needs of all of my students.
When I walk in my classroom each day, I wonder if I will be inspiring the next Bill Gates or the next Einstein. Fostering the love of learning is my job, my passion, and my life. My students are an extension of my love of teaching. I teach the most wonderful group of third graders in the entire world. They are funny, silly, challenging, and hardworking. They are all very different, not only in their personalities, but how they learn.
My job, as a teacher, is to find a way of teach all of my students and make sure they are successful.
I teach students with disabilities, students with English as their second language, students with economic disadvantages, and students that have all the advantages in the world. They all have one thing in common. They are all children who have their entire future ahead of them and they have a teacher that wants to give them the world.
My Project
Third grade is such a crucial year for all students. My students have worked so hard this year, however, with state assessments are right around the corner, they have started to get anxious and need to be introduced to different ways of learning to keep their engagement. I am asking for 5 iPads to use in my inclusion classroom to keep my students motivated in their learning.
I want to create a learning environment that will make my students want to learn.
These iPads will infuse technology into my daily reading and math centers. Students will be able to create video presentations, use learning applications and play math and reading games. Students will be able to share their learning with other classrooms in our school and around the world.
