My students need access to fiction and non-fiction books that they are unable to read. I need an IPAD to put the books onto for them to listen to the reader.
This project expired on March 14, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I want all of my students to love reading! We spend time each day reading books. Some students are struggling readers and need a little extra help.
My second grade students are wonderful kids who deserve a chance at learning to read with the newest technology.
My school is culturally diverse and has a wide variety of languages spoken. Our school is the place that provides the stable environment that all students need to succeed. My students deserve the best and this will be a great start.
The students will be able to access the IPAD at anytime during the day in their own classroom. They will be able to listen to books and read along. This gives struggling readers the chance to hear good readers read and also a chance to practice those skills. They will be able to learn at their own pace in a safe and caring environment. I will be on hand to help those students as they progress through the year.
This will bring excitement to the class and a sense that there are people out there that care about them.
It will be a wonderful addition to the interventions that I have in the classroom and will add that layer of self confidence in reading that all my students need to have as readers.
