My students face so many challenges, but they realize that education is the vehicle to drive them towards a more promising future. With so many issues, it is my mission as their educator to take them away and rescue them from their pressing worries through the joys of meaningful experiences and exposure to what life has to offer. Our Title I school is eligible for 100% free or reduced-price lunch program. Many of our students also come from retired and active military families.
We strive to plant seeds of hope and reassure the students that education is the key that unlocks the doors of opportunity and future success.
By understanding that there is more to life than what meets the eye, it is my belief that my students will do what it takes to beat the odds, defy the statistics, and embrace the world of education and all it has to offer.
My Project
The Apple TV will allow me to teach wirelessly. I will be able to move around the classroom while presenting my lesson. Students will be able to present their knowledge through the iPads from anywhere in the classroom. I plan on having my students use the iPads for group work and projects. 4th-grade students need to know how to research, use multimedia, and present their findings. This will allow students to listen to fluent reading while keeping them engaged.
By having an Apple TV and iPads in my classroom, I will be preparing my students for the world around them we will also be able to Skype other classrooms and help with our morning announcements.
They will need this experience to be ready for middle, high school, college, and entering the workforce. Thank you for helping my students be successful learners!
