This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My first grade students come everyday to school eager to learn. They are like little sponges ready to soak up everything during the school day. My students learn through collaborating with groups, movement, and hands-on learning. They enjoy reading, writing, stem, music, art, and math. Given the opportunity, my students will surprise many with their achievements. My students attend a Title I school with high needs. We are part of a caring community who are very supportive of students, staff, and the school.
My Project
An Apple TV will enhance student learning by allowing me to use a variety of teaching methods. Students do not learn the same so this will allow students to to interact and engage in lessons in a variety of ways. An Apple TV will allow me to integrate technology in all subject areas: reading, phonics, writing, math, science, and social studies. I can connect my Apple Laptop to the Apple TV and then project it to the whiteboard and teach wirelessly. I will be able to hep students without having to be stationed at my laptop. Cords will be eliminated if I use the Apple TV. With the Apple TV I plan to integrate more technology based projects such at Keynote.
