This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our classroom is a full-day tuition-free preschool. The children in my classroom are high-risk students who come from low-income families. My school is a Title I school and every child receives a free lunch. I am passionate about working with young children and with your support, we can ensure that my students have the learning resources needed to reach their educational goals.
Would you consider being our classroom hero?
My students have a wide range of needs in the areas of social-emotional skills, communication, and academics. Despite what obstacles and hardships the children face outside of school, they come to the classroom every day ready to learn. My students inspire me to be the best teacher that I can be. I will continue to advocate for my students in order to ensure that they receive a quality education.
My Project
As a result of Covid-19, I am teaching from home. I pretty much have a remote teaching system that works well for my students. The only issue is my wireless mouse does not connect with my Apple computer. Having a mouse that connects to my computer will make things a lot easier for me while I teach. I often use the IPAD as a backup device while teaching. An Apple Pencil will make note-taking a lot easier for me.
These materials will make using multiple devices a lot easier while I teach from home.
Once we return back to the classroom we will have numerous different creative options that we can use a pencil. A class opportunity to use this Apple pencil would include coding and STEM activities. This pencil will allow students to have more control over their work.
