My Students

My fourth-grade students are a unique group of 26 eager-to-learn, hard-working, inquisitive learners. They are thrilled to be able to come to school, even if it is only in the hybrid model at the current time. They desperately want to be in school 5 days a week but have settled into our hybrid routine quickly. Their positivity astounds me and they have exceeded any expectations and calmed any nerves I had in this hybrid model. Our group also includes intensive special education students. While it is a struggle for all students to be in school only 2 days a week, it is especially difficult for special education students.

My Project

Having an iPad will help me create more visually engaging and interactive lessons for students to use virtually. This device and accessory will help complete online assignments regularly as we adapt to the world of virtual education. Students are struggling to complete virtual lessons, they want to be in school! I need to captivate their attention - get them interested in completing learning online!

Many of my special education students are reluctant writers!

They can utilize the Apple Pencil and iPad in the classroom to engage them in their writing, with the ability to format their writing independently.

I have also requested a case to keep the iPad safe because accidents happen!
