I am going to describe my students in 3 words- determined, loving, and insightful.
My students love learning.
They continue to strive despite the challenges they face in school, at home, or in their neighborhood. My students know not to give up and face the challenges head-on. They use different skills and strategies.
My students are loving. They care for their friends, family, neighborhood, animals, and Earth. We do different projects in the classroom to encourage people to continue to care about our planet.
My students are insightful. They love to ask questions about everything. They are curious about everything around them. They love to explore the different things that they see and learn about them.
My Project
These iPads will enable my students to learn math and reading through the different programs that we use. Coming from a Title I school, we do not have access to the best technology. My students do not have access to any technology at home. There are available resources for free internet but 80% of my students do not have the technology to do any of the work that we have posting online. We rely on printing materials for these students and mailing them to their home. However, there are a lot of programs that they do not have access to because of the lack of technology at home.
With just one click, students can learn lots of information within a second.
By donating to this project, you are giving my students access to technology at home and at school when we come back. The students will be able to go on I-Ready, where they can watch videos and play games to learn their numbers, addition/subtraction, and measurement. We can also assign videos for them if they are performing below or above grade level. We are meeting students where they are. The students will also use the iPads for Lexia, a reading program that teaches them the beginning sound, sight words, and comprehension. The students will have access to all of the information that are available for them!
