This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Energetic, excited, intrigued, and enthusiastic are just a few words that describe my students. My students love coming to school and love to learn new things. I love seeing their faces when they "get" something. They get so excited and want to keep learning more.
However, the neighborhood that they live in is tough: they don't get to have these rich experiences unless they are in school.
It is my job as their teacher to provide them with as many rich, hands-on experiences as I can! Please help me help my students succeed in Pre-K and help them build a solid foundation so they will be able to stand on their own in the future. After all, children are our future.
My Project
By giving my students an Apple Pencil, you are giving them the ability to be creative, while using technology. You are also enabling them to practice writing their letters, numbers, and shapes. Don't get me wrong, they do need to learn how to write using regular paper and pencil, but this will give them the ability to use technology as well.
A lot of my students do not have access to different technology at home, which is why I want to give them the best here at school.
I want my students to realize that there are so many different ways that technology can help you learn. I want them to have access to everything so that they know how to use these things!
