My Students

During the current COVID-19 pandemic, schools are closed and my students and I have begun distance teaching and learning. While teachers and administrators have been scrambling to make sure all our students have access to needed technology, we are also finding ourselves short of tools that make distance learning more effective.

My Project

My students and I are learning together how to have effective mathematics classes during the stay at home mandate. One method that is proving effective is to hold a virtual class via Zoom, and sharing my iPad screen. The iPad is really useful because it allows me to write notes, solve problems, and annotate student work much more easily using an Apple Pencil.

I currently have one aging Pencil that is in danger of conking out soon.

Also, because I'm using it so often, it is helpful to have one charging.
