Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are creative, motivated, and full of questions! They love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.
Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of a lack of supplies and resources.
Our school is located in South Texas, which is surrounded by many low socioeconomic communities. We have a great number of students who receive accommodations. Many of the families often struggle to find employment and opportunity in our community and their children often feel they are heading to the same fate. The biggest obstacle they face is a lack of technology to allow them to learn to the greatest extent possible
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and with the technology, they are open to endless possibilities.
My Project
This Apple pen will allow me to help create original lessons that will allow me to further differentiate my instruction to students of need wether it be virtually over a distance or in person. This will allow me to share my ideas and be able to bring them to life to use in the classroom immediately. The best material taught is original material made by the creator and I intend to show my knowledge by being able to create what I see and apply my knowledge in an academic setting to further improve my students knowledge
