Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Never did I imagine that I would be teaching my students online only for the rest of the school year.
My students and I have switched to distance learning only and it has been challenging!
We are actively engaging in all sorts of different online platforms and learning new online things. I assign online assignments on a daily basis. My students and I participate in Zoom meetings every Friday, to go over new material, and to check in with each other. I am amazed by their level of engagement and participation, and families' willingness to help in the online assignments and open to try new things.
My Project
My students have been working hard using the assignments that I have assigned with Google Classroom, YouTube, and Khan Academy, MyMath, and ClassDojo. However, my learners would benefit greatly from me having an updated iPad with sound and video capabilities to record video messages, reading passages, and lessons for them.
This project will provide with the most resent iPad, so that I can use these amazing tools to assist my students with their remote learning experiences.
Once we return to school, my students will benefit immensely by having a working iPad in our classroom.
