My students need a portable Altec bluetooth speaker, 3 durable iPad cases and 3 iPad screen protectors in order to efficiently implement music and instructional technology in our classroom!
My students attend a rural school in Tennessee, nestled in the foothills of the Cherokee National Forest and the Smoky Mountains. It is a Title I school, and 80% of students come from socioeconomically low income homes and qualify for free and reduced lunch. Lots of students have to go travel on buses daily and are at school from 6:30a.m. until 3:30p.m., which makes for a very long school day!
I want my students to enjoy learning, and remember school as a welcoming, positive experience that helped shape their positive outlook on life!
Many of these students do not receive any environmental enrichment outside of our school doors. My goal is to make learning as creative and engaging as I can in order for these students to be knowledgeable and prepared for the next chapter of their lives.
My Project
My students enjoy when music is incorporated into instruction. A portable Altec Bluetooth speaker can provide whole group musical activities while keeping students engaged! Being portable is a must, so that students can enjoy in other places, such as the sensory room. This speaker will also allow for the entire class to listen to different texts being read aloud while I work with individual students needing assistance. This speaker will provide an outlet for my instructional playlists at a level that the entire class can enjoy!
Protective covers for our classroom Apple iPads will allow students to enjoy technology without fear of breaking them.
Accidents happen daily, and iPad covers and glass protectors can prevent them from having a lasting effect!
These durable iPad covers will protect our three brand new Apple iPads and maintain their quality for years to come! The glass screen protectors will prevent accidental drops/falls from damaging or cracking the original screens. The new covers and screens will set my students up with all tools necessary in order to learn using our classroom iPads.
Overall, an Altec Bluetooth speaker, three iPad covers and glass protectors will provide my classroom with the resources necessary for an optimal, differentiated learning experience!!
