My 40 students need a class set of the AP European history prep help, and this edition seems to be the best. This will enable more students to earn a passing score.
With the cost of college skyrocketing, taking and passing an AP class has become even more important. It is a real bargain and I am certain more of my students will succeed if they have access to the Barron's test prep book.
We are a public k-12 school with at least 30% free and reduced lunch and yet, we are one of the top high schools in the United States.
We do this because all children are valued and can learn at the highest levels. We graduate 99% of our students and most, if not all, go directly to college. We have a very diverse population that strives to learn and give back to their community. It truly is a wondrous school, but there is never enough money for supplies.
My Project
The Barron's' book will help students focus on their particular weaknesses. My students in the past have done well on the essays, but not the multiple choice. The prep book will organize things in a way for them to remember and recall the enormous amount of facts necessary for earning a passing grade on the test. the pass rate last year was 65%, but I am sure it will be higher once students have these prep books. I can only cover so much in class and these books will help fill in the gaps.
College is expensive and many of my students will struggle to pay for it but by taking AP courses and passing them, they will cut the costs significantly.
Many of them will start college with at least nine hours of college credit and that is a huge savings for them and their parents.
