My AP US Government students are taking a college level course in American Government as high school seniors. They are studying the Constitution, Supreme Court Cases, political climate and culture, civil rights and liberties, and civic duty. Students who successfully pass the Advanced Placement Exam in the spring can earn college credit for this course.
These students are not just learning about our government, they are learning how to be engaged citizens.
They explore current events, attend candidate forums, and (if eligible) vote in actual elections. They aren't just the leaders of tomorrow, they are the leaders of today.
The Advanced Placement United States Government Exam was completely overhauled for this year. My class needs a review book with lots of practice exam questions, and this book by AMSCO is the perfect solution! These will help my students review what they've learned and prepare to score a 5 (top score) on the AP Government Exam. Students who pass the exam can receive college credit and research shows that they have a much higher likelihood of graduating from college (and graduating in 4 years) than other students. Support my students as they seek to be well-informed, engaged citizens for our democracy.
