This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am an ATPE member who is the proud teacher of 44 amazing third graders. This year I have the pleasure to teach Reading, Writing, and Social Studies to my students in a Title I school, where 98% of our students are economically disadvantaged and 79% are ELLs. In many cases, my classroom is like a second home for them.

My students are like my own children.

They each look up to me every day to help them prepare to become our future professionals. My goal, as their teacher, is to ensure that I do whatever is necessary for my students to succeed in life.

My Project

The materials that I am asking for will help to motivate my students into doing their best, working hard, and never give up.

I plan on using the raffle tickets to motivate my students to work harder. They will earn tickets which I will then use to raffle out the different materials that I am requesting as prizes. The harder they work will allow them to earn more tickets and have a better chance at winning. I want them to know that they are capable of amazing things if they just try.
