My Students

I am the Librarian at a K-2 level school. The children attending our school are so excited to visit our library, many saying it is their favorite place in the whole school! We strive to create an inviting and enriching atmosphere. Our school library is a valued resource for our students and staff, and our students have developed a love of books that keeps them asking for more! They are always looking forward to new additions from their favorite authors.

We have some very curious and creative learners of all levels and we would like to provide some opportunities for these students to develop their reading and writing skills that will enrich their lives for years to come.

My Project

These chess games will be used during the children's library time and for an after school activity club. What a wonderful way to grow a young mind.

The benefits of learning chess are enormous!

To start with, it enhances a child's reading and math skills, and improves children's visual memory and attention span. Playing this game will also enhance their social skills while learning a little give and take with their friends. Please help us put these skills in the hands of our school community. Your help will be very much appreciated.
