Each morning in my kindergarten class, we start our day together with a song and a smile! My students are ready to learn!
I have an enthusiastic class of eager kindergarten learners!
They come from a variety of backgrounds, but all share a love of being together in our classroom. Our school is a high performing K-5 elementary school in a suburb of Washington D.C., where many students come from military families.
This is their first school experience, and they are thrilled to be in full-day kindergarten. They are excited about learning, and, more importantly, they are excited to share their learning with each other!
My Project
My kindergarten students enjoy learning through both literacy and math work stations. This is a time when they can practice their skills in a fun, game-like format. I want to help guide this process by providing clearly organized materials so students can become independent in their work and clean up.
By color-coding our work station materials, all students will be able to access and return materials easily.
These zippered pouches match the station tub colors in my classroom, so it will be easy for everyone to follow. This will support all the learners in my room and give them a guide to be successful.
