My Students
I work with a diverse group of students who are eager to learn. Their families come from all over the world. About half of them are English Language Learners. Our diversity gives us many opportunities to learn about and appreciate our varied cultures and backgrounds.
I teach at a Title I school, which means that many of their families have lower incomes and qualify for reduced or free lunch.
Despite the different challenges they face, they show up each day, eager to learn.
My Project
I have 5 tables in my classroom. Eventually I'd like to get one iPad for each table. Technology like iPads and apple pencils are powerful tools for engaging 21st century students. I am excited for my students to have the resources they need. They will be using this iPad to develop their math and literacy skills with numerous high quality apps that are now available.
More importantly, this iPad will be used to help them develop cross-curricular skills of critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration.
We will be using it for skype in the classroom and flip grids. Students will also be able to use the inking tools available across the office 365 suite. Thank you for your support.
