This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The WIDA Annual Conference is the premier event for educators of kindergarten through grade 12 multilingual

learners, giving educators from around the globe the opportunity to share best practices and discover innovative

classroom strategies. Participants will include ELL/ESL teachers, content teachers, district and state coordinators,

early care and education practitioners, school administrators, researchers, and more. As an attendee, I will:

✓ Participate in sessions that offer a variety and depth of learning

✓ Hear from very knowledgeable and experienced presenters in the field

✓ Obtain practical application resources and strategies

✓ Learn best practices for supporting multilingual learners in my work

✓ Hear about innovative approaches to instruction

Conference sessions include 75-minute concurrent sessions that examine research-based strategies, practices, or

topics that align to the conference theme. The sessions are designed for participants to leave with concrete ideas,

tools, or resources to use in their contexts and bring back to share with their teams. The conference will also

include two featured sessions and two keynote presentations from speakers who are recognized as thought

leaders in their field. These sessions are intended to spark critical thinking and reflection on a variety of relevant

topics.

By registering now, I will secure a secure space at the virtual event. The total cost of my registration will be $295.

By attending the 2022 WIDA Annual Conference I will return with new and innovative strategies, tools and

resources, as well as an expanded knowledge of best practices to share with our team and readily implement into

practice. I will also receive a certificate of attendance that is eligible for submission to our Local Professional

Development Committee for continuing education credits. If you would like more information about the
