This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Access to manga will turn non-readers into readers. Many people believe that manga isn't reading but it is!

The goals for this project is to read and discuss English STAAR level topics in manga during anime club.

These English topics include: symbolism, word choice, imagery, figurative language, tone, characterization, plot, and theme.

My students are special because they love to analyze their favorite stories and they love to relate themes in these stories to aid in their own lives. They learn about important themes such as love, friendship, and courage.
