My students need two iPads in order to experience the thrill of their own created animation projects and to further explore the technology that is available in the 21st century.
My school is a neighborhood school in the Madison Metropolitan School District. Most students walk to school. Over 75% of our students are experiencing poverty. We serve free breakfast and lunches to all of our students.
My students love experiencing many mixed media opportunities.
They also love art and technology and have perseverance to seek more! My theme is Animation this year and I am integrating a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art And Math) curriculum. Therefore, I wish to have my students be able to experience more animation techniques with the use of two iPads.
My Project
These iPads will make a difference in the lives of my students. They will be able to capture their clay sculptures, paper puppets, self portraits, and more by recording them in a way that will thrill and bring their creations to life through a multitude of animation programs.
Within the Art Studio and Computer Lab we will be able to create a recording center where students can tell and share their personal stories about their own unique art pieces that they crafted in art and technology class.
Through the gifts of these two iPads all of my students will be able to experience the 21st century and close the gap just a little more!
