Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach students who receive Intensive Resource services. Many of my students are learning disabled, developmentally delayed, speech-language impaired, intellectually disabled, or other health impaired.
My students receive specialized and explicit instruction in a small group setting.
The frequency and duration of services vary according to the specific needs of each student. Each and every one of them are special and unique. I am truly lucky to work with such caring, kind and smart students who strive to do and be their very best!
My Project
This project will make a world of difference to my little learners. Many of my students have never been to a zoo or owned a pet. They are fascinated with animals and are very intrigued by the various species. Unfortunatly, I have limited supplies when It comes to animals and nature.
The Science Viewers, Animal Decodable Readers and Photo Cards would give my students an up close and personal look into the animal world.
I hope to instill compassion and love in my students for animals with these science materials and provide them with the opportunity that will allow them to explore .
