How do you learn best? The students in my classroom learn best when they get to explore, be hands-on, and are excited about what they are learning. In this project, my students get to do all of those things.
My students are hard working, want to learn and have big dreams.
We are a classroom of 20 second grade students located in rural Indiana. My students come from a wide range of economic backgrounds. We also have a wide range of academic abilities. But, they have one thing in common, their love for learning and exploring.
My Project
This project will bring butterflies, roly-poly pill bugs, praying mantis, dwarf frogs, and ladybugs into our classroom. During our animal unit we will read about what animals need, build and create their habitats based on their needs, prep the animals for their life cycle journey, observe them daily, and journal about our observations.
It is my job to challenge my students, motivate my students, and let them be the best they can be!
This project will not only help my students, but several other classrooms will join us in observing the "Animals All Around Us"!
