My Students

We are an inter-district public magnet school with the good fortune of being located on a university campus. Our school brings together students and families from many backgrounds. Our university partnership helps give our students access to rich experiences and ways to think about possibilities for their futures.

Our first grade is a community of eager learners who learn best through hands-on, real world experiences.

They love building things and observing nature. We are always finding new ways to expand their learning experiences.

My Project

The Animal Super Senses program will help our students see how animals have body parts that capture and convey information needed for their growth and survival. This program perfectly adds to our science unit on animal senses by providing real live examples along with an expert who can teach and answer our questions about animal senses.

Our students will get to see and touch live animals with the help of an expert naturalist.

The visit will take place during one school day, with a 45 minute session in each of our first grade classrooms. We know our students will be excited and learn a lot through this program!
