Help me give my students the opportunity to further their skills and knowledge of animal anatomy. By using these tools the students will enhance their dissection skills and gain further insight into the comparative structure of numerous animals.
My students are predominantly Asian and Asian Indian and bring so much life to the classroom. They are all freshman, and new to the high school world.
They are very energetic and excited to learn about Science.
They aren't shy about asking questions and want to explore all that the Science world has to offer them.
I am hoping to instill my love of science in all of them so they go far in the outside world in loving Science.
For this project we will be comparing the basic internal structure of various animal species. Our goals are to compare insect and other animals species in order to learn of the similarities and difference in the species around us.
We will use the dissection tools to gain access to the internal structures of several different animal species within the classroom environment.
By having these complete sets the students will be better equipped to perform accurate and quality dissections of these animals. Improved quality of dissection will allow for the students to make a better analysis of the similarities and differences in the species. The new dissection trays will provide a solid base for these new discoveries to occur. To be sure that the students are able to use sharp blades for the most accurate dissections, we will also need the extra scalpel blades.
By using all of these tools for dissection the students will will be better equipped to learn about the various species that share this world with us
