My students are from low-income immigrant families. My kids come to school to learn but because their parents have to work multiple jobs, sometimes their parents don't have enough time to prepare them a full nutritious breakfast. That's why my classroom becomes their second home. We are a Title I school where we cannot afford field trips to the aquarium due to lack of funding. The project will give students an opportunity to learn about compassion for animals through a classroom aquarium so they educate their parents and others about compassion for animals.
My Project
My students come from low income families with parent or parents working full time to make ends meet. Due to financial struggles, my students do not have the chance to visit a real aquarium to see real animals and take care of them. Thus, I want my students to learn about animal compassion and conservation by having an aquarium in the classroom. Students could observe and take care of living creatures in the classroom. My students will learn about responsibilities, research different ways to care for an underwater animal, the diets, habitats, and adaptations. Students will learn about underwater ecosystem. Further, by taking care of living creatures, students will learn calming ways to focus on academics. Your donations will help bring animal compassion and conservation to life.
