I need assistance hosting a film Angst; to increase awareness of mental health and resources. This film will serve as professional development for teachers and staff to implement Social and Emotional Learning.

My Students

Through my last 5 years working within this district, I have come to know the students, parents, and members as a close-knit community. The goal is to provide each student with a strong educational system. My students are eager to challenge themselves and improve as they progress through their high school years.

Students within this district are very cognizant of their physical and mental health and the growing concerns of an increase in anxiety and depression among the student population.

My Project

Anxiety affects us all! A screening of ANGST is a film to provide tools to talk about it and to lessen our angst. We see a lot of anxiety in our schools, so by sharing this film, ANGST, we hope to lessen our angst.

The audience will have an opportunity to view candid interviews with real teens about anxiety, tools that help and provide hope.

Real talk and real people dealing with real anxiety.

The overall outcome will be to educate students, school personnel, parents, and community members about the importance of mental health, and provide counselors, teachers, parents, and students the appropriate resources to recommend to the community.

This event will serve as a professional development for the district to enhance the implementation of Social and Emotional Learning. In addition, teachers and staff will address the district goal of increasing (SEL) Social and Emotional Learning.
