Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our children are our future! Our children come to school eager to learn and I have high expectations of what they can accomplish. One hundred percent of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. In spite of the many disadvantages and hardships they face, they try their best to succeed. Although many of our students read below their grade level, they enjoy coming to school and learning new things every day. My scholars inspire me to help them become the best they can be!

My students are intelligent and have a strong desire to be successful.

Unfortunately, the educational system has failed many of them for a long time.Most of my students do not have access to Internet or computers at home.

My Project

An essential part of aftercare is being able to look like a team. Our aftercare program needs hats with our school logo in order to show are unity. The hat heating press will helps us look more as a team. This would be one less thing we will have to worry about as we concentrate on building team chemistry and getting to know each other.

With your help, the printed hats will help our program feel confident because they look like a unit, and use that confidence to give it there all when out on the field.

A hat might seems like nothing but it fills our students with a sense of pride to represent something bigger than themselves.
