My Project

If the pandemic has taught us anything, students are resilient. They have survived quarantining at home, remote learning, and transitioning in and out of school. Not only have they survived the pandemic, but they did so in the most critical, early stages of their learning.

The results are in and our students have suffered from lost learning during these challenging times.

We need to go back to the basics and foundational skills that many students lost from not being in-person, full-time learning with their peers and teachers.

The materials and supplemental curriculum will help provide students with direct, explicit learning based on the science of reading (SoR). I want to use our district curriculum and supplemental resources to help fill and bridge the gaps created during the pandemic. We will also focus on building their social-emotional learning to help them become successful, well-rounded students.
