My Project

Each year, the American Library Association gives awards for their top books for students of all ages, with awards from the Printz to the Stonewall, and many others. These are books that are timely, have content that is important to expand perspectives and viewpoints, and allow kids to see themselves in the pages. The books are diverse in characters and stories, and represent the world around us.

These award winners are books we want to provide for our students so they have access to the best books to expand their reading and their worldviews.

These books will help us continue to expand our collection and create a space where everyone feels welcome and seen. One of our main goals, always, is to create a collection that will be exciting and diverse for the kids, and these award winning books will be an amazing addition.
