This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school serves grades 9-12 and consists of various ethnic and financial backgrounds. Many of the students have not seen a live theatrical performance. It is my goal to expose my students to the wonders of theatre.
My students are the "go-getters." They are willing to create with their hands as well as words!
Whenever a show is coming up, I have students willing to learn and lend a hand to help make it a success. Without the support of my students, our theatre program would not be what it is today.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for my students is crucial for our growing theatre program. Over the past two years, we have been blessed with an abundance of costumes, props, paint, tools, and scripts. But now we need to find somewhere to store them.
The materials requested will make it a breeze, to give each item their own home, and allow students to use technical elements!
The two ClosetMaid cubicles will be used to store the class set of scripts, supplies, and props. The wall shoe organizer will help store our lapel microphones during the show and free up more space in our closet. The lapel microphones will give us the opportunity to mic more students for our spring musical. The items stated previously will also have labels to help assist students when returning the objects.
