Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students at SMS are special (like all students) for a number of inspiring reasons. First, they are resilient in the face of day to day struggles. Second, most are bilingual and learn all of their English skills outside of their home. Lastly, students at SMS have the sparks of creativity that one can find inside any imaginative child.
As a Title I school we face many challenges daily.
Despite our challenges we continually make every day great. Please consider donating in order to help me build the classroom every adolescent deserves.
My Project
Students will create artifacts, write didactic panels, and design an authentic museum exhibit showcasing their knowledge of the daily life of an ancient Egyptian.
Students will use the materials of this project in order to become museum curators.
The plastic paper displays are for didactic panels and the black trifolds for the base of their exhibits. The construction paper, push pins, markers, and colored pencils will be used to help create artifacts and backgrounds. Furthermore, students will use a variety of other materials (many not included in this funding page) in order to create artifacts resembling those we have found in ancient Egypt.
