My kindergarten students are creative, unique, and share a love of learning! They are fun and full of life and love researching. We complete several research projects throughout the school year, recording our learning on anchor charts which are displayed throughout our classroom. Students show pride when they see their thoughts and learning displayed throughout the room. Some of the research projects we explore--such as Holidays around the world, plants, pilgrims, pumpkins, etc.-give students experiences and information they would not receive otherwise. They are so engaged during the creations of these charts that we do one on a daily basis!
My students share their learning through the use of anchor charts. These charts are invaluable student and teacher created pieces of work that not only display student learning at the beginning of a research project, but show what students have learned over the course of our research projects. These anchor charts are displayed around the room for students to refer back to. Creating charts is fun for students through the use of scented markers, but can be difficult for them without a dedicated anchor chart stand. The Best-Rite Wheasel Dry Erase Mobile Storage Easel would make charts so much easier for students to create on their own. In addition, this item also contains storage on the bottom by way of plastic bins. In these bins, we could store our chart tools such as scented markers, our step stool, and crayons.
