My students need dry erase markers, glue stickers, colorful paper, anchor charts, ink, disinfecting wipes, and earphones to bring clean learning to life inside of our classroom.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach a group of exciting kindergarten with mixed personalize and abilities. Some of my students are learning to recognize letters, sounds, numbers, and number order, while the some of them are learning to read, recognize sight(RED Words) words, isolate, segment, and blend initial, medial, and final sounds. My students love to explore different websites that are fun for learning, but with only 3 computers that's hard to do(with small groups of 6 or less). They love being in competition with one another, as well.
"In my class, we are striving for excellence.
And with hands-on materials, they can reach that goal of excellence."
As a school, we are striving to become a B school. I believe in order for our 3th-6th grades to achieve their goal, they must have a strong foundation of phonemic awareness, phonics, and comprehension, which start in kindergarten. And with new technology and new hands-on materials, they will be ready for the MAPP, when their time comes.
My Project
In this day in time, hand- on materials and visual aids are a much in the classroom. Anchor Charts will allow my students to visual see the material. Ink, colorful paper, glue sticks, dry erases and disinfecting wipes will keep their learning fun and clean. Earphones will allow students to hear digital in comfort.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
