My students need the Posted Easel Pads so that they can use them as a reference to recall specific skills before, during, and after instruction.

I am currently a Literacy Coach in an urban school district. I support teachers by modeling literacy lessons, and locating effective resources that promote students' learning. Due to limited funding, resources are scarce. Many of the children also come from economically disadvantaged homes. Nonetheless, my students are eager to learn.
My philosophy is that all students are capable of learning if they are known, supported, and guided.
Students can achieve some level of success especially if they have the materials necessary to improve their learning. In my district funds have been drastically cut year after year. Students are receiving less and less support and expected to grow.
We are a learning community, more so than a classroom, because everyone who steps through our door is a teacher of something to someone. Please help me inspire my students to be lovers of books and learning!
I will use the Post-It Easel Pads to create anchor charts . The students and I will be able to create graphic organizer on them to organize information read from text. This will allow students to recall essential information that will support their learning. Students will be able use their sharpened pencils to take notes based on class developed anchor chart related to specific skills. For example, during literacy, students will be able to track their thinking. Also, they can record evidence from a text to support their thinking and answers comprehension or mathematical questions. To provide students with opportunities to be College and Career Ready, we will use the copy paper to prepare text dependent questions amongst other questions and task that will require students to be critical thinkers of the world.
Anchoring students' knowledge will keep them afloat and excel student performance.
The Post-It Easel Pads, Staples copy paper, and the X-Acto Prox Desktop Electric Pencil Sharpener will allow my students to engage in collaborative student projects. Students will be able to work in groups and record their thinking for the rest of the class to see. This way everyone can learn from each other.
