My students need quality anchor charts to reference year round and having a chart paper easel to display information they are learning will be essential.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work at a Title I school in Victoria, Texas. My classroom is made up of a diverse group of learners, each with their own special needs! They come from diverse families and all have their own way of learning new material. Many of our students are still recovering from Hurricane Harvey hitting our area last year. The impact was definitely greater on some than others and several families were displaced. We still have families who are living with less than what they had before the storm and it is very apparent every day as I drive through the neighborhoods on my way to work.
My third graders love school!
Most of them come with a smile on their face ready to learn and love each day. They are like little sponges in the classroom. They have wonderful manners and are willing to try new things.
My Project
Anchor charts are essentially posters put up around the classroom to help "anchor" the students learning. Anchor charts are created with students to help them take accountability in their learning and really internalize new information. They are used to reference back to year round as well. The products I have chosen will be used to create quality anchor charts for my classroom. The chart display easel will be used while the students are helping create the anchor chart and the markers and chart paper are there to make it colorful and stand out!
Help my students "anchor" all the wonderful and new information they will be learning in 3rd grade!
