My students need a HP inkjet large format printer, ink and four rolls of paper to share classroom assignments.

My students attend a family school in an urban setting in which 20% or more of them have family members serving in the military. I teach 13 girls and 12 boys that all receive free lunch. There are many resources that my classroom can use to help create a rich learning environment that fosters a love of learning in my students. Although my students come from poverty, many of them view school as a safe place to come to learn. It is a place to escape their life struggles. I would love to give them a safe and nurturing learning environment filled with items which will increase their desire and ability to creatively learn.
My students are a wonderful group of diverse individuals who work hard every day and love learning.
Many of them come from single-family homes. Most of their parents work and have a hard time helping with school work. Despite the difficult circumstances of their home life, my students tackle difficult material with enthusiasm and are very grateful for all learning opportunities that stretch their imagination beyond the classroom.
My students need a HP inkjet large format printer, ink and four rolls of paper to share classroom assignments. My students will work in groups of four or five during cooperative learning stations. The printer will allow them to print and hang their learning responses around the classroom. This will be a great learning opportunity for my special needs students and visual learners. They will be able to print large learning posters in just a few seconds to share with peers, parents, and staff. The printer, ink and paper will provide my students a chance to present learning more efficiently, saving valuable class time!
Utilizing visual aids is essential for students to be successful in sharing their big ideas in and out of the classroom.
The printer will encourage my students to create bold, creative, and reflective responses during sharing time efficiently during a literacy block that is already limited by time. The large format printer will allow my students to spend more of their class time collaborating, discussing, and sharing their ideas and perspectives in meaningful posters.
My students need a large format printer to display their learning and big ideas in and out the classroom. My students are always looking for ways to improve and demonstrate learning using technology. Since there has been a drastic cut in the past years, getting resources and funding that make a huge instructional impact on students is limited. Some of my students have family members in the military, so when they visit it would be nice for them to walk into our classroom and see students' work boldly displayed on vivid learning posters. Without the help of generous donors, it would be hard to get the most basic school supplies. Please help me to get my students the resources to they need to create posters that fill our room with their ideas and learning experiences.
