This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are vibrant, hungry, hands-on learners that are anxious to learn as much as I can offer them. This group of 24 individuals constantly asks for the next lab; they thrive on doing. I have been energized by their vigor and hunger for learning all about the human body. Help me give them a great learning experience and the hands-on learning they crave!

My Project

My students will experience true hands-on anatomy and physiology learning by being able to do dissections on fetal pigs.

These pigs will teach them anatomy comparison, experience with the dissection process that they can take to their college science classes.

It will also allow them to experience testing through practicals as we will identify the different organs and anatomy of the fetal pig. Without these pigs the students are left with diagrams only to compare and no hands-on experience that really helps make the difference in higher education success.
