My Students

I have some of the brightest students, who deserve a teacher who is on their A game. I teach AP US History, Dual Credit US History, AP Seminar, & AP Research. My AP Seminar & AP Research students are some of the most inquisitive students I have ever had the honor of teaching.

They are constantly analyzing, questioning, and seeking answers that lead to even more questions.

My history students are also amazing! They never stop astounding me with the depth of their thinking about historical causes & effects.

My Project

I want to enhance my students' learning by discussing the 2008 financial crisis. There is a great movie I like to show, "Too Big to Fail" that dives into the causes and effects of the recession. However, I no longer have a DVD player to show this movie in my class.

Please help me expose students to the financial turns in our economy by providing a DVD player on which to view "Too Big to Fail." Students will be given the opportunity to check out the book upon upon which "Too Big to Fail" was based.

They can use the Kindle device to read the book for further enrichment. Moreover, after watching the movie, we will examine how deregulation in the 1980s under Ronald Reagan allowed the banks to make riskier loans which resulted in the financial crisis in 2008.

In addition, since I am a history teacher, there are several other history documentaries that are no longer online, and I don't have access to them anymore. I would like to buy these DVDs so my students' learning can be enriched.
