This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have an awesome group of students who are eager and excited to learn. This is my first year in general education after teaching special education for 21 years. I am eager to provide my students with a fully furnished classroom setting. My students come in each morning eager to settle in. We are currently leaving backpacks on the backs of chairs, and this becomes a real tripping hazard at times. We also need large bins to keep ants away from lunches.

My Project

Students will have a secure place to store their backpacks, lunches and jackets with a new mobile backpack storage cart. We are currently leaving backpacks on the backs of chairs and every day a backpack or jacket falls on the floor. The bins will keep our food away from ants. My students were horrified when they had ants in their lunch boxes and snacks. he privacy offices will assist during assessment time.

In first grade it is important for me to know how much my students are learning so I know how to help them.

The offices will help to prevent them from copying off of their neighbors.
